Inspirations from a Pedagogy Notebook – How Great Educators inspired Frances Clark
to Transform the World of Pedagogy
Most of us are familiar with “Time to Begin” and the Frances Clark Series. But the formulation of Frances Clark’s pedagogy came not from musicians, but from great philosophers from the past, such as Socrates, Plato, Rousseau and Whitehead. Dr. Osborn will explore basic concepts of these great thinkers, highlighting their influence on piano pedagogy. She will also highlight practical ways in which we apply their philosophies to our teaching every day.
